Interview:

✧In one or two sentences, what is your game about?

Bringing the flow states that video games often induce into taxing physical activity, to whether it's possible to increase the amount of activity players will tolerate.

✧What was the inspiration of the game? What made your team decide to make this game specifically?

I hate exercising! And I hate thinking about exercising, but I can absolutely just whale on an exercise bike if I'm holding a Steam Deck. But surely these can be brought closer together, without being so on-the-nose about it.

Also, I've made commercial work before, but I was excited for the opportunity to make something janky and weird and experimental, and evaluate it by my own standards.

✧Were there difficult moments when developing the game? What led to those difficult moments? What did you learn from it?

I definitely got into an intellectual space designing it, which is a bad idea for most games but especially for a physical game. Once I started playing it more regularly and making whatever tweaks I thought would make me less bored, things opened up.

✧Talk about your teammates! What was everyone’s role?

It was just me! I'm not sure why none of my classmates at Game School wanted to work on an exercise game, but there you go.
