✧In one or two sentences, what is your game about?
TITHE is a woodsy-horror dating sim set in a small town on the brink of destruction as the woods behind it threaten to consume it. Players will learn about the hauntings plaguing the town and find love while trying to fix it.
✧What was the inspiration of the game? What made your team decide to make this game specifically?
Mina wanted to make a dating sim that focused on the romance, Noa wanted to have a post-apocalyptic type setting to worldbuild and craft lore for, Syd wanted to create sound for a similar setting and work with friends, and Michael was our savior who knew how to make a visual novel in Fungus with spectacular (one might even say uncanny) ease! Overall, we wanted to work with each other as individuals, and all of our respective skills came together seamlessly to make this cozy-woodsy-horror dating sim.
✧Were there darlings that you had to kill? What were they? Why was the decision made to remove them from the project, and what were the reasons that you like the darling so much?
Noa initially wanted to program third-person RPG-style dream sequences after each major event as minigames to demarcate the days and add a level of interactivity, as well as having the radio dial in our game (which is a very important mechanic) be tune-able by the player, like in Oxenfree, but ultimately we decided this interactivity was more of a gimmick than anything else and couldn't find a diegetic reason to keep it in the game. The dial stayed in, but now it's controlled by the dialogue rather than the player themselves.

Mina is our artist and co-writer;
Noa is our producer, co-writer, and backup programmer;
Syd is our sound designer, composer, and FMOD wrangler;
and Michael is our lead programmer!
