For Major Studio Spring

A face-paced bullet hell where you venture into a very much living outpost.

Interview:
✧In one or two sentences, what is your game about?

A movement-based sci-fi bullet hell where you venture into the mouth of a very much living outpost. In here, time is currency which allows you to progress to the next level as well as unlocking a number of upgrades.

✧What was the inspiration of the game? What made your team decide to make this game specifically?

The main inspirations for the game was Dead Space & Disc Room. Dead Space was the main reference for the tone & visual style of the game. While Disc Room was the main reference for the gameplay of the game.

✧Were there difficult moments when developing the game? What led to those difficult moments? What did you learn from it?

We ran into a design issue where the enemies were going straight through the walls of the levels. Since we only had 1 programmer, we thought it might take too much time to implement pathfinding, so we decided against it. However, as the other methods failed, implementing pathfinding became unavoidable.
