Interview:

✧In one or two sentences, what is your game about?


Mycopunk is a co-op, mission-based FPS where you play as robots working for a megacorporation Saxon to battle sentient fungus on the moon of New Atlas.


✧What was the inspiration of the game? What made your team decide to make this game specifically?


We were inspired by dieselpunk aesthetics and cool fungus. We wanted to create a co-op game with themes of capitalism and nature vs. machine. As well as robots, fun and unique weapon sets, and procedural, destructible enemies.


✧Talk about your teammates! What was everyone’s role?

We have seven core members, two collaborators, and two composers working on Mycopunk. Liam and Kenneth are our producers, with Liam also being Creative Director, game designer, and programmer and Kenneth being character designer, concept artist, and UI/UX designer. Noah does tech art/VFX and design, Ryan does 3D art and animation, Lily is a texture and concept artist, Nick does sound and level design, and Aidan does 3D and environmental art. Our two collaborators Seungmi and Nicholas work on concept art and other 2D assets, and our composers Johanum and Aaron did all the music that you hear in Mycopunk.
