DUUSA is a 2D action platformer, focused on the adventures of the character of Medusa as she explores outside her isolated cave to take out a glory hungry king in Ancient Greece. Using the snakes on her head as a mobility aid and weapon, she is well matched to take on the hateful men of Greece.

✧In one or two sentences, what is your game about?
DUUSA is a 2D action platformer, that allows the player to use the snakes on her head as a mobility aid and weapon, to devour and petrify the hateful men of Greece she comes across in her mission to retrieve her sister's decapitated head from a powerful king.
✧What was the inspiration of the game? What made your team decide to make this game specifically?
The biggest inspiration for DUUSA was the reverse horror platformer, Carrion, where you play as an escaped monster terrorizing the lab you were created in. The mechanics of this game were really unique and we were thinking that a game using similar mechanics could look and feel super cool if applied to a different context. The core Duusas on the teams also really connected with Medusa as a character and having the narrative of her also going around Ancient Greece punishing all the misogynistic men that
✧Were there difficult moments when developing the game? What led to those difficult moments? What did you learn from it?
The biggest hardships we had during the course of our game was working with a lot external collaborators and learning the process of how to communicate and work with people in a timely manner as a lot of other people's work depends on other tasks getting done. We still really enjoyed working with all our collaborators, and working them allowed us to make a larger scale game than most of us could have expected, but now we now what pipelines work best for us!
