Interview:
✧In one or two sentences, what is your game about?

Bloke Bash is a fast paced fighting game about controlling space on the screen stage and manipulating it to your advantage. Your character's arm is also controlled by a joystick, allowing you to swing and punch in all directions.

✧What was the inspiration of the game? What made your team decide to make this game specifically?

In one of our previous projects in Intro to Game Development, we used the ability to move the screen around and wanted to expand that into a full mechanic. Additionally, we wanted to use FMV for the art of our games because of fighting games like Dong Dong Never Die.

✧Talk about your teammates! What was everyone’s role?

Wyatt initially brought up the idea of using FMV for our character sprites and unique arm control scheme. Wyatt recorded footage of our professors doing actions and implemented their animations into the game. Additionally, Wyatt programmed in the character physics and unique arm controls, allowing the player to punch in the direction they point their joystick.Leo initially brought up the idea of punching the screen around. Leo programmed the screen physics when interacting with the player and VFX. The sound design was additionally done by Leo.
